Vaccinations / Boosters

All vaccinations and boosters include a thorough health check, full examination, weight check and advice. We will answer and deal with any questions or concerns you may have. (Click here for our reviews page)

Please Note:

During the initial Coronavirus Lockdown, vets were prevented from administering vaccines. Currently we are now "catching up" on those animals who are over due their vaccines and these are a priority over those who are still up to date with their booster. Please contact us at the practice to discuss booking your pet in for thier vaccine.

Dog Vaccination

  • Puppy Best Start Vaccination Course Package £69.00 (add on the  Kennel Cough vaccine for just £20.00) click for full details of what is included
  • 2nd Puppy Vaccination £48.00. Some puppies will have had their 1st vaccine before they come to their new home but still require a 2nd injection. See Our vaccines are compatible page for more information.
  • Primary Dog Vaccination £65.00 for the course (2 injections in the course, given 2 - 4 wks apart). Vaccines given from 6 weeks of age to enable early socialisation. Includes a full veterinary health check, protection against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis, weighing and information pack.   • Annual Booster Vaccination  
    Includes a Vet appointment, health check and weighing, £48.00 
    Protection against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis.
  • Infectious Bronchitis Vaccination  (nasal drops)
    Includes a Vet appointment, health check and weighing,  £42.00 (or if given on same day as another vaccine £26.00)
    Protection against Parainfluenza and Kennel Cough.

Cat Vaccination

  • Kitten Best Start Vaccination Course Package £69.00 click for full details of what is included.
  • 2nd Kitten Vaccination £55.00. Some kittens will have had their 1st vaccine before they come to their new home but still require a 2nd injection. This price includes a Vet check and the 2nd injection. 
  • Primary Cat Vaccination £69.00 for the course (2 injections required given 15-21 days apart) given from 9 weeks of age. Includes a full veterinary health check, protection against Feline Enteritis, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Leukaemia, (Why should I vaccinate my cat?)
  • Annual Booster Vaccination £55.00 This includes a Vet appointment, health check and weighing.

Rabbit Vaccination

  • Rabbit Myxo-RHD Plus vaccine  £63.00  (New vaccine which is the first single shot vaccine that gives rabbits a full 12 months protection from the three main infectious diseases in rabbits - Myxomatosis, Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD) classic and variant strains (RHDV-1 and 2))

Rabies Vaccination & Passports   (Dogs and Cats only)

Due to ongoing alterations in goverment requirements for travel, we are no longer offering the "Passport/Export" service currently. We continue to provide Rabies Vaccination if required.

Neutering

These prices include admission, general anaesthetic, surgery, a 2 to 5 day post-operative check-up if needed and routine medications, such an antibiotic and a painkillers injection.

Please Note: Older pets, dogs over 30kg bodyweight, overweight pets, pets that are unwell, pregnant females and males with abnormal testicles will be more expensive to neuter. The vet or nurse can advise you about any extra costs.

Some animals may require blood tests before anaesthesia, intravenous fluid infusions, additional surgery or extra medication. These will incur an additional cost.

Your pet undergoing routine neutering under the age of 9m, will recieve a pain relief injection which is included in the fee. Some pets require extra pain relief to be administered at home and there will be an extra fee associated with this , if required. Please discuss this with the nurse at the time of admission.

RABBITS / GUNEA PIGS  (Including antibiotic, pain killer and gut stimulant injection medications)

Worming – Dogs & Cats

Worm treatments should be given at least 4 times a year.

Get your wormer from the vet to be sure that it’s an up-to-date, safe and effective medication.

Many others on general sale we stopped using 25 years ago!

“Spot-On” wormers are available for cats that are difficult to give tablets to. We will have the weight of your pet on record so will be able to prescribe the correct tablet for your pet’s size when you phone.
