How To Collect A Urine Sample From Your Cat

The simplest way is to collect a urine sample from your cat using a non-absorbent cat litter.

  • First thoroughly wash, rinse and dry your cats litter tray.
  • Empty the non-absorbent beads into the litter tray.
  • Wait for your cat to use the litter tray.
  • As soon as possible collect the urine using the pipette supplied.
  • Pipette the urine into the sample bottle provided.

Changes can happen to the urine if stored at room temperature for a period of time, which may effect the results. It is therefore advised to bring the urine sample for testing as soon as possible. If there is a delay we advise the sample is stored in a refrigerator.
