Calling all animal loving children around Blackburn.

Ferne & Rory’s Vet Tales series 2 are looking for new stars!

Following on from the successful episode of our vet Sam scanning her sheep on CBeebies "Down on the Farm", CBeebies have once again approached her regarding "Vet Tales". This is an educational series where animal experts Ferne and Rory meet children and learn about caring for their poorly pets.

After a wonderful first series of Ferne & Rory’s Vet Tales, the team are now looking for applications for series 2 and here at Daisy Street Vets, we are searching for suitable pets and their loving child owners.

From a pregnant parrot to a snake with scurvy; an itchy iguana to a diabetic dog: if you know a child aged 4 – 7 years with a pet who needs the care of a vet, we want to hear from you! We want to help children understand that, just like us, animals get sick and can sometimes need a little help from the experts.

No animal is too big, too small, too loud or too hairy!

• We are looking for confident, chatty and outgoing children, aged 4 – 7 years, who have an adult family member also willing to take part in the filming.

• The pet doesn’t need to be a house pet! It can be a farm animal, a nursery pet, or even an animal within the community, but the child must have a connection to the animal and the animal must have an existing condition.

• The closing date for applications is 31st July 2018 so if you are interested, please do speak to one of the vets next time your are in the practice to discuss the suitability of your pets case.
