I can't recommend Daisy Street Vets highly enough! They've been absolutely brilliant with my kitten, Binx, from the very first visit. The whole team is so kind, caring, and professional — they always take the time to reassure both pets and owners, which makes such a difference.
They're always on hand with good, professional advice and genuinely go the extra mile to make sure every pet gets the best possible care. Every appointment has been smooth and stress-free, and you can really tell how passionate they are about what they do.
Their pricing is fair and transparent, and the service is consistently amazing. Binx always gets such a warm welcome, and I feel completely confident knowing he's in the best hands. Thank you to everyone at Daisy Street Vets for all you do
— you've made a nervous new kitten owner feel totally at ease! '"

Website response: What a wonderful review Aislinn, thank you.
Being just a small, independent practice, we do try to go that extra mile for our patients and their owners and we try to care for your pets as if they were our own. It is so lovely to hear that you have recieved the welcome, care, and advice you need to help you both settle into this new life you are undertaking together.
We hope Binx is recovering well from his recent little op and you know where we are if you need us.
Thank you once again for taking the time to tell us how you feel, we really appreciate your kind words.

Registered my baby guinea pig and made an appointment the same day. I paid £58 over the phone and was told "the deposit is inclusive of a consultation and any medications prescribed" to which i agreed and im pretty sure the conversation has been recorded to evidence this. I took my guinea pig to the vet and my appointment was 20mins behind schedule, I was prescribed antibacterial steroid cream and antisceptic solution, as there was no Imaverol anti-fungal ordered in and was told to come back if there's no improvement. I got the medicines and was told I needed to pay £35 extra for the medicines, despite what the lady on the phone told me. I could buy these online for cheaper or from Amazon. I rang Vets4Pets and theyre at least estimated £70ish rather than the near £100 l paid for no proper diagnosis and medicines I could have got online for a lot cheaper (and I have bought an antisceptic, antifungal and antibacterial spray and ringworm bath solution on Amazon for £8.99). Really upset was told one thing over the phone then another in person regarding pricing, otherwise I would have just gone to Vets4Pets for cheaper or just treated her at home! The vet was lovely but the appointment was a waste of time and especially money, im just really frustrated about everything else.

Website response: Dear Aarshiya,
We are sorry you're feeling frustrated and if you would like to discuss this further directly, please do get in touch with us at the surgery.
Sadly, I think there must have been some misunderstanding or miscommunication firstly about cost. Our consults are routinely £58 for a 10 to 20 min consult with the vet. This does not and has never included medications as, you will understand that until we have seen a case, we would not know what is needed and thus not know what the costs may be. As such we never say medications are included. We apologise if there was somehow this misunderstanding.
We are also sorry if your appointment was running behind schedule, however the nature of our business means that at times, consults take longer than expected. For example, complicated or upsetting cases or emergencies can suddenly require more time than planned. I am sure that if it was you or your pet in one of these situations, you would hope that other clients were understanding and gave you the time you needed.
The treatment you were prescribed was not just an antibacterial but a
Prescription Only Medication (POM-V) antibiotic cream, with an additional steroid. Antibiotics are different from non-prescription "antibacterial" over the counter medications you can buy from Amazon and you cannot legally buy the product you were given, without a veterinary prescription. You were also given a separate antifungal solution (not just an antiseptic), which we prefer to use as our 1st line antifungal treatment as it has less side effects than the
"Imaverol" you mention, when used around the nose, eyes and mouth, as in your pets case.
These treatments were supplied to treat the most likely causes of your GP's condition, without the additional costs of tests and investigations in order to get a specific diagnosis, thus with the hope of giving a cure without extra costs.
Thank you for your kind words about the vet you saw and once again, we apologise if there has been any miscommunication somehow on pricing
- please do feel able to discuss these issues directly with us and we hope your
GP is improving with her treatment.
Kind Regards,
The Team at Daisy Street Vets

All staff at Daisyfield are amazing , we went as a secon opinion as our dog had a fall after a firework went off .and damaged her back , to the effect that she couldn't use her back legs . We were worried , scared and our dog was miserable. Both vets couldn't of been more helpful in getting her better and after a year of medication change and physiotherapy she is walking , although like a cowboy , she is out of pain and we are so thankful to them for their continued support . We have now moved our other animals over to them .
Website response: Thank you for the kind words. I am glad we could help. John and Sam.

Said on the website can get advice over the phone anytime and a call back from the vet so rang up for some advice on my hamster and they refused to give any advice even though it's stated on the website that advice can be given at any time! All i wanted was to explain what l've been doing to treat the problem and ask if there is anything else I can do!

Website response: You sound a bit disappointed at the service you received. Sometimes the vets are busy and cannot deal with phone queries immediately.
It does say on the website "If it is advice you need, our vets will phone you back when they can".
I think you had a conversation with one of the nurses and you described the symptoms of your hamster to her and her advice was that in her opinion your hamster needed to be seen by a vet.
You can telephone again if you want and ask for John to phone you back. You will have to register you hamster so that any advice given can be recorded for future reference.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.John.
