After an experience at another local vets and recieving a ridiculous quote for a procedure we booked an appointment on a recommended with Daisy street. From the very first phone call we felt in good hands. We were booked in for the procedure within four days which we were very happy with. The lady who took the phone call was very helpful and arranged to get all our dogs details from the previous vets prior to the appointment.
Upon arriving we were greeted by the receptionist who explained everything and said we will be seen shortly before even sitting down we were invited in. After having a full explanation of the procedure and given a quote which was more than reasonable we signed our documents and left our 'child'. Any worries we had prior to the procedure evaporated after speaking with the staff and we felt completely comfortable leaving Rolo.
Upon collection of Rolo we were greeted by the receptionist who said everything had gone well and that he was in good spirits, within a few minutes Rolo was brought out to us, everything was explained to us regarding medication and after care. We didn't feel rushed when asking questions and felt like evervone in the practice had time for us.
Without a shadow of a doubt we would recommend Daisy street to anyone and won't be using anyone else when it comes to our dogs
Website response: Thank you for the lovely review. Sorry we have taken so long to reply. I saw Rolo in the morning for the appointment and Samantha did the operation so we were leaving the reply to each other! Thanks again. John.

I have a very sick parrot struggling to breathe, called this most uncaring firm, asking them if they could please see the parrot.
The receptionist said they can't as I am not registered, asked her several times if under special circumstances they could see my sick parrot and they wouldn't.
Then they said I can bring her down and they wouldn't treat her but just put her to sleep.
So uncaring, how can these people say they are about animals

Website response: We are extremely saddened to hear of your situation and that you feel we let you and your bird down at this time.
Unfortunately we made the decision in July (5 months ago), to no longer take on any exotic cases. We are not a specialist exotics/bird practice, we are just the same as your more local "routine vets" and strictly speaking other practices should not be referring clients to us as if we are specialists.
We are under the impression that you live in Manchester which is 25 miles away and were given our details from another practice. Had they declined helping you when you were concerned with your bird's breathing? We have spoken to the receptionist's involved and they report they tried to explain we no longer see exotic cases and that they tried to help you. Understandably you were concerned for your bird but it sounds like you became quite agitated and threatening. Under pressure, they did give you details of other practices that may have been able to help you.
Under emergency circumstances, vets will offer to put an animal to sleep to prevent suffering whether they are registered or not. This was offered when you felt your parrot was dying.
Once again, we apologise that we were not able to help you at this time, we wish there were enough of us to see all animals at any time, but that is obviously not a reality.
We hope you managed to find a more local vet to help you and your parrot.

This isn't my regular vets, however, I had to take my bird here because the vet knows more about birds than any near to where I live. The vet (John) was always great with my bird and genuinely seemed to care about him. He'd ring me back when requested and helped as much as possible. I've recently had to have my bird put down, but l'll always be grateful to John for the help and care he gave him. I've only knocked one star off because a secretary was a bit 'off' with me a while back when I rang and John wasn't around, but generally, the staff I've spoken to are lovely. Maybe she was having a bad day.

Website response: Thanks for the honest review. Will show the Staff. You came a long way to see us. We did most of Sheldon's treatment remotely. John.

Wonderful vets. Reception staff, nurses and Sam
the vet have been lovely every time we've been.
We're very picky with finding a reliable place that
doesn't have a revolving door of vets and Daisy
Street have been perfect. Makes for a very caring
and personal experience, which has allowed us to
put every confidence in them that they'll do right
by our dogs!

Website response: Thank you Beth, What a wonderful,
kind review. We are glad you found us
too and have that

I have only recently registered with this practice. To be honest I regret not transferring sooner. I have four rescue dogs and need to feel confident that I can discuss my concerns easily with a professional. The vets at this practice are practical but reassuring. I certainly have never felt hoodwinked as unfortunately I have at previous practises. I really do feel that here the animals are the first priority. There is no rush or hurry. The vets listen to you carefully and spend often long periods of time discussing a procedure or offering advice. The atmosphere in the waiting room is one of calm and quiet and the office staff are unharassed, friendly and so helpful. The charges are fair and to be expected and I have never felt in any way pressurised. The vet has often recommended watchful waiting when safe to do so. I cannot recommend this veterinary surgery enough
Website response: Thank You Helen. It is really comforting to read your words. We do our best to help and inform our clients. It can be very busy sometimes with emergencies, so it is not always calm and quiet! Thanks again. John.
