Being just a small, independent practice, we do try to go that extra mile for our patients and their owners and we try to care for your pets as if they were our own. It is so lovely to hear that you have recieved the welcome, care, and advice you need to help you both settle into this new life you are undertaking together.
We hope Binx is recovering well from his recent little op and you know where we are if you need us.
Thank you once again for taking the time to tell us how you feel, we really appreciate your kind words.

Website response: Dear Aarshiya,
We are sorry you're feeling frustrated and if you would like to discuss this further directly, please do get in touch with us at the surgery.
Sadly, I think there must have been some misunderstanding or miscommunication firstly about cost. Our consults are routinely £58 for a 10 to 20 min consult with the vet. This does not and has never included medications as, you will understand that until we have seen a case, we would not know what is needed and thus not know what the costs may be. As such we never say medications are included. We apologise if there was somehow this misunderstanding.
We are also sorry if your appointment was running behind schedule, however the nature of our business means that at times, consults take longer than expected. For example, complicated or upsetting cases or emergencies can suddenly require more time than planned. I am sure that if it was you or your pet in one of these situations, you would hope that other clients were understanding and gave you the time you needed.
The treatment you were prescribed was not just an antibacterial but a
Prescription Only Medication (POM-V) antibiotic cream, with an additional steroid. Antibiotics are different from non-prescription "antibacterial" over the counter medications you can buy from Amazon and you cannot legally buy the product you were given, without a veterinary prescription. You were also given a separate antifungal solution (not just an antiseptic), which we prefer to use as our 1st line antifungal treatment as it has less side effects than the
"Imaverol" you mention, when used around the nose, eyes and mouth, as in your pets case.
These treatments were supplied to treat the most likely causes of your GP's condition, without the additional costs of tests and investigations in order to get a specific diagnosis, thus with the hope of giving a cure without extra costs.
Thank you for your kind words about the vet you saw and once again, we apologise if there has been any miscommunication somehow on pricing
- please do feel able to discuss these issues directly with us and we hope your
GP is improving with her treatment.
Kind Regards,
The Team at Daisy Street Vets
