Distemper vaccination

Distemper virus is lethal to ferrets. There is no licenced vaccine for ferrets in the U.K., but our canine distemper vaccine is considered safe and effective. It is recommended to vaccine working ferrets every year and pet ferrets every 2 years against distemper virus.

There are no other vaccines required for ferrets in the UK. In Europe and the USA rabies vaccine might be necessary.
